Kelaine in 2015

Kelaine is the 2015 revision of RUDE.photo. If you know anything about me, its that I am a dreamer and a doer. I have spent the last four years photographing, friends, strangers, places and things establishing myself as a Chicago photographer. Today I worked for Bistrot Margot, a staple French restaurant here in Chicago. Photography is something that I choose to do. Not only a passion, but my career. It isn't easy, or cheap.. but it is the best choice that I have made in my adulthood. I wasn't ever a finisher. I am a jack of all trades and a master of one. Like a lot of people my age, I think that we were raised to believe we could do and could be anything in the world! The problem with that is I believed I could be everything in the world. I went to Bible college, school for music business, I wanted to move to Australia, Portland, and San Diego all at once. I had a hard time focusing on what it was I wanted to do. I felt that wherever I was and whatever everyone else was up to is what and where I needed to be. That isn't always the case. At 28, I am single, no kids, no degree (yet) and living 6hours from home.. and I do not regreat a single part of it. Right now in my life, I am building my career. Not that I am rolling in piles of money weekly, but working for myself, is something I never thought could happen before I turn 30. Aside from working at a bar twice a week for the last 8months, I have been living off of my photography for almost a year! I am working 2-3 shifts a week for Bella Baby Photography and it has proven to be one of the most challenging experiences of my life. #hustle

The mission of Kelaine for 2015 is to create a bank of imagery for local businesses. Social media has become such a huge part of our community, and shouldn't you put your best look out there? That's what I think to. Starting off the year big with Bistrot Margot- images of Kelaine will help you look as good as the work you produce.
